Ship of Sounds
Fixtures and porthole covers jiggle. Doors slam. Alarms ring. Diesel engines and heating systems rumble in the background. Today we present some of the sounds of everyday life aboard Healy.
An update on our movements: The weather to the south is bad, so we’re going north, back to a station where we were a few weeks ago. Today scientists are organizing data, catching up on samples, maybe even taking naps. The TV in the science lounge was tuned to the NFL draft for hours.
